Our Philosophy
At Waterview ELC, we believe tamariki thrive when they are surrounded by aroha, manaakitanga, and a strong sense of belonging. Guided by the principles and strands of Te Whāriki, we nurture each child’s unique strengths, interests, and identity, empowering them to become confident and capable learners.
Our play-based programme recognises that learning happens through exploration, relationships, and meaningful experiences. We create opportunities for tamariki to wonder, discover, take risks, and develop a lifelong love of learning, while fostering whanaungatanga and respect for one another and the world around us.
Our passionate kaiako work alongside tamariki and whānau, providing responsive, individualised support that nurtures their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing. Together, we celebrate each child’s journey, encouraging them to use their voice, build lasting friendships, and grow with confidence in who they are and where they come from.
We look forward to welcoming you and your whānau into our Waterview ELC community.

Our Vision for Your Child
To be a leading early learning centre in Waterview and Central Auckland, recognised for creating a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, confident, and ready for lifelong learning.
We envision a community where children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and grow into compassionate, curious, and capable individuals — supported by caring teachers and engaged families.
Goals and Objectives
Our passionate team of ECE-qualified teachers are dedicated to providing quality early education in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. With years of experience, they understand that every child is unique and deserves personal attention.
We maintain small group sizes to ensure each child receives the support they need while developing independence, creativity, and self-confidence.
Our centre is thoughtfully designed with safe indoor and outdoor play areas, stimulating learning spaces, and age-appropriate resources. We encourage exploration through play, music, art, and nature — helping children develop essential skills for school readiness and life.
